PRC-154 Rifleman Radio
The (AN/PRC-154(V)1) Rifleman Radio is a member of the Handheld, Manpack, and Small Form Fit (HMS) family of advanced software-reprogrammable, networked radio communications sets. The Rifleman Radio enables the individual Soldier to operate in a tactical voice network with other team members, team leader and squad leader, sending Position Location Information (PLI) to team and squad leaders via a networking waveform. The Radio sports an integrated commercial GPS receiver with an external SAASM interface. The Rifleman Radio operates in the UHF and L-Band frequency ranges.
A Receiver-Transmitter (RT) module is assembled and connected with a number of components that create a general-use Soldier Configuration, referred to as the Radio Set AN/PRC-154.
